Drumline
Anyone seen this? I rented it last night (Im a band director if you dont know) and was pretty pleased. It was exactly what I expected: a corny, cutsie movie that was redeemed by how marvelously the drumlines played. The movie is worth watching for the final battle alone, imo. Others?

I just love the commercial. That girl sort of slinking in that gold outfit. I like. I like much.

The writers of the movie hit one of the biggest untapped markets there is in the US:
Black inner-city drummers. It was bound to be a hit |

I coach football at a predominately black inner-city high school and after our games the band will come on the field to practice – and the maintenance workers usually turn the sprinklers on to get them to leave

I thought it was good. I was in the drumline so I was a little biased in liking it. Always good to have a movie about drummers.

This was filmed locally with local talent. Watching the Atlanta highschool bands play is spectacular.
