'Nova guard has eye popped out of socket

Anyone else see this?

You could here him screaming "I can't see" on the bench.

I believe the player was Allan Ray. Probably done for the year.

I saw it, and wish I hadn't. Really horrible, I hope and pray that the damage done isn't permanent.

I actually turned this game off at the half and just turned it back to hear them talk about Ray. I hope is going to be okay.

Now that I've cracked and made that admission, I wonder if I'm only a couple of steps away from wanting to tongue-kiss Jaromir Jagr and give Bobby Clarke a blowjob.

There was a loose ball on the sidelines and Allen Ray dove for it as Carl Krauser swiped at it. Krauser inadvertently hit Ray in the eye and you could literally see the white that was his eye on the replay.

Loose ball mishap. No ones fault but very unfortunate.

ESPN reports being told by Ray's grandfather that there is nothing too severe about the injury.

AS long as there were no tearing of any of the various connections that acatully go to your eyeball, he should be just fine.

Way back in the day, a couple of guys in my company on seperate occasions had an eye gouged out of socket...popped the bitch back in and a lil tlc and thy were fine.

I just got a report from the doctors at the hospital and it was great news," Villanova coach Jay Wright said. "It actually looked a lot worse than it was. He will be released from the hospital and he has vision. He is a day-to-day prognosis right now. He will go home with us on the bus tomorrow."

deadspin has a grainy video of it. don't watch if you are prone to vomiting or eye ejections.

I must be immune to stuff like that...video didn't bother me at all. Of course I also watched the beheading video from a couple years ago and have been known to google things like "suicide photos" or the like just to look at them...I think I was a forensic scientist or something in another life.
