Did I miss something here? Someone asks him if he has seen Brokeback mountain, and he says he's heard of it, but hasn't seen it.

Obviously because its a movie about two gay guys, and since he hasn't seen it, its his way of saying all gays will burn in hell.

Mice will burn in hell too because they have no souls. And birds.

Just want to point out that I stay out of all the political threads, but this is so stupid and such a non-issue I felt the need to comment.

Edit to add: No offense meant to OP, as I don't know what the intentions were of posting it. Might've just been for the laugh factor.

the only funny part of the entire question session was the student asking about budget cuts to education...his reaction was hilarious! This, not so much

They have a great lecture series at KSU. We drove the hour and a half out there to see Gorbachev last year. Noticed pretty much every President since Nixon had come (Clinton being the exception- we got him in Lawrence as part of the Dole series), other world leaders, Earl Warren, both Doles, astronauts, tons of cabinet members, congressmen, etc have all gone there to speak. It's a really impressive list.

Yeah, it's a premier series. Had a good five-year run there.

Truth be known, the President and his father did discuss why they haven't seen the movie, and [here] are secret wiretaps of their conversation. (***NOTE*** Due to the sensitive nature of the conversation above, it is definitely NSFW, so turn your sound down low if you want to listen.)

A few that come right to mind would be Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter. Lincoln outright quoted from the bible in his speeches....does that make him a bad President? I should say not. In fact he is considered almost widely by all to be one of the greatest President's this nation has ever had. Lincoln was notorious for his Christian beliefs. So my question is this: Why do so many of you (especially on a rediculous subject such as Brokeback Mountain) continue to hammer away at a man for is religious beleifs? Is a completely secular nation somehow part of your sick view of a totally liberal and utopian society? If it is, then it is you who areno better off than the jihadist fascists in the middle east.

Even religious Presidents like Carter believed in seperation of church and State, unlike Bush.

I am not gonna get fooled into starting a political debate in a thread that was meant as a joke. There's an old saying in Tennessee. I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says: "Fool me once..... shame on...Shame on you, If fooled, you can't get fooled again."

And in this thread, PSUColonel will be playing the role of Chubby. While his acting resume is short, he seems to have captured the very essence of the Chubby transition to thread destruction. It is really quite astonishing to see in action. Let's give him a hand. Well done.

Skydog (who orginally linked to the what KWhit responded to) is a Bush-bashing anti-Christian?

It's not like we didn't already have a six page thread about Brokeback Mountain for inane comments about the movie completely unrelated to K-State, George Bush, or the lecture series

I would definately watch it if anybody can tell me if they scream, "Giddyup, Cowboy!" during a sex scene.
