One snag, reports the DC Post, is that, since the police in the surrounding jurisdictions don't participate in the program, police in Herndon, which lacks jail space, will have to transport those arrested to a facility in rural Rappahannock County, an hour's drive each way, tying up officers from street patrols. But there is a solution. Since WMAL led the heavily-hyped charge to get a new major elected on the immigration issue, why doesn't the ABC talk station's on-air personnel - all able-bodied macho men - get deputized by Herndon's police and spend their weekends and other off-air time helping the Herndon police round up the illegal aliens. Come on Andy Parks, Fred "Love Boat" Grandy, Chris Core, Bryan Nehman, Mark Levin, Mark Weaver, John Matthews, and station honcho Chris Berry. You've talked a good talk, now show a little action. Heck, those WMALers who are not in tip-top physical shape could, at least, drive the van, also supplied by WMAL - with the station's logo plastered all over - back and forth to Rappahannock. Imagine the press and the related ratings WMAL would get
