Was end of game logic fixed in last patch?
I'm just wondering if the end of game logic problem was supposed to have been fixed in the last patch. It seems to me that it certainly was not.
In a playoff game, my team was trailing 24-21 and we got the ball with 2 minutes left. The 2 minute drill was run to perfection. My QB spiked the ball at the 20 yard line with 23 seconds remaining. Then, with me stunned, we run a handoff, we gain 10 yards, and there's 5 seconds remaining. So I'm thinking, sweet, overtime. Then what? With 5 seconds left, at the TEN yardline, we hand it off to my RB, who gains 3 yards, game over! I simply could not believe that my coach would lead a team to 15-1 and then make such a stupid call. So I can't remember the last discussion of end of game errors, but I hope that it wasn't supposedly fixed in the last patch. I'm sooo disappointed as I really thought this was going to be our championship season. |

I haven't seen it happening to me. I make it a point to check every close game my team has, because this bug hit me hard in the past version. Maybe run another season and check things? It might have been some weird one off.

This is also the first time of any kind I've ever seen end of game logic screwed up. But then again, I only watch playoff games.

Some of it was tweaked. It might need further looking into, apparently.

My understanding was that this was taken care of in the latest patch. I only watch my games and in the prior version it happened 3-4 times in the season. After the patch, I did not see one goof up.

Then I suppose this is the case of a rare idiotic call, instead of a bugged idiotic call. So where's that button for firing my staff?

I think this bug has pretty much been corrected in the last patch (Version 5.0b) because I haven't experienced it again since.
Before, it was quite often that the AI logic would screw you but I feel like it's much better now.

I think it's pretty well perfect post 5.0b patch. I've seen the AI make a couple of boneheaded moves, but they definitely felt more like coaching boneheaded moves, not stupid AI moves.

I haven't seen so much a problem at the end of the game, but last night I saw a similar thing for the end of the half. Other team has the ball with about 30 seconds left in the half, deep in their own territory, 3rd and long. They run on the 3rd down play and don't make it so the AI then decided to call TO. They punt on 4th after the TO, when the clock should have run down. I complete one long pass then kick a gift FG. The AI called a timeout on 4th down instead of letting the clock run out to end the half.
