FOFC Winston Cup Season 7

Daytona, FL - Once again we find ourselves in Daytona for the beginning of yet another season. Right now the track may be quiet but soon it will be lit up with the likes of Snow, Phillips, Newsday, Craptacular, and others.

The question around the garage isn't whether or not Nick Phillips can repeat as champion. There all wondering whether or not Chris Snow can regain his form and move up from last years 3rd place finish. 3rd place for anyone else is terrific, for Snow it's mediocre. Expect him to come out strong in his new #40 Coors Light sponsored car.

Last year's champ Nick Phillips hopes to show that last year wasn't a fluke. His #51 Mello Yello car ran great last year and should do the same this year. A new teammate in #20 Mustafa Henderson should help his team out also.

Of course Rewbie Newsday will be back in top form this season. He ran very well but fell just short at the end of the season. 4th place finisher Vince Morgan will not be back and his teammate Scottie Montgomery, last year's top rookie, is not returning either.

Other veterans back are It's Craptacular, Kodos N. Kang, Shane Kormlelink, Travis Elkin, Bradley Nowell, Ren Snow in a new #17 Marlboro car, Sterling Silvers, Badstreet Fields, Kool Breeze, Hacker Vance, Billy Rudd, Jeeber D Mack, Kai Collins, Taco Money in a new #10 Valvoline car, Aaron Hogg, Kid Quick, I.B. Long, Sonny Daze, GoT, Bobby Mask in a new #62 Cingular Wireless car, He's Crapnificent, Ben Lemke, Fireball Kobeck, Angel Reaper, Al Kaholic, Ray Zerback, Daniel Ertmann, Thomas Hudson, Telle Snow and Mike Tokunaga.

We have another terrific rookie class this year. Mustafa Henderson in the #20 AT&T car, Kevin Anderson in the #8 AOL car, Rob Zalez in the #95 Pennzoil car, John Condor in the #30 Country Time car, Jobu Mack in the #99 JIF car, Johnny Winston in the #21 Goodwrench car, #9 Mr. Buttercup Jr. in the Powder Puff Girls car, Eilim Cu'Firinne in the #80 Budweiser car, and Jay Klayman in the #29 Briggs & Stratton car.

The fans are ready, the crews are ready, and the drivers are ready. It's time for Season 7 of FOFC Winston Cup Racing!

What a way to start the season! 151 lead changes! Amazing. Very clean racing for the most part. Heading into the final lap, it was Sterling Silvers 1st, Al Kaholic, then Fireball Kobeck and Nick Phillips. Kobeck and Phillips overtook Kaholic heading out of turn 2. Then they raced down the backstretch and Fireball Kobeck put himself in position. With the help of Nick Phillips he got by Silvers heading out of Turn 4. Phillips quickly went to help Silvers then but Silvers couldn't take back the lead and Kobeck won by .001 seconds. Amazing finish.

For the second straight season the Daytona 500 winner had started dead last. Chris Snow was involved in a pit road accident on lap 135 and could never recover finishing 28th 3 laps down. Nick Phillips led the most laps with 18. The top 12 finishers were within a second of the leader. The top rookie was Mustafa Henderson in 9th.

heh, 10 and 11 finishes for the Canadians, will this be our finest hour of the season or the start of Northern Domination?

If past history means anything, this is probably the only race I'll finish in the first half of the season...but it was enjoyable.

Another terrific finish! This sure looked like it was gonna be Telle Snow's day. But just like last year, despite dominating and leading the most laps at Atlanta Snow couldn't hold on for the win. Heading down the backstretch on the final lap Travis Elkin put his car in the perfect spot and darted below Snow heading into four. Snow battled back though but Elkin took the win by .001 seconds.

Chris Snow came back after his horrible Daytona run to finish 3rd. Polesitter Ren Snow finished 8th. 3 Snow's and their teammate Collins all in the top 8.

Rob Zalez probably had the best car at the end of the race. After a restart with about 25 to go, Zalez moved up from 15th to 6th picking off cars left and right. An 8 car wreck on lap 120 knocked out 7 cars. Fields was the only one survived.

Fireball Kobeck followed up his Daytona win with a 7th place finish.

Four different drivers dominated at times during the race today. Rewbie Newsday led 112 laps but finished 36th. Billy Rudd led 113 laps and finished 4th. Sterling Silvers led 118 and finished 2nd but Taco Money led 155 laps and took home the victory by 1.58 seconds.

Early on Rewbie Newsday and Rob Zalez pulled away from the pack, but after his green flag pitstop, Newsday come out and was hit by another car. He would never recover. And Zalez was caught on pit road and went a lap down.

Chris Snow was involved in one of the first incidents and ended up finishing 39th, 72 laps down.

Heading into the final lap, it was Sterling Silvers 1st, Al Kaholic, then Fireball Kobeck and Nick Phillips. Kobeck and Phillips overtook Kaholic heading out of turn 2. Then they raced down the backstretch and Fireball Kobeck put himself in position. With the help of Nick Phillips he got by Silvers heading out of Turn 4. Phillips quickly went to help Silvers then but Silvers couldn't take back the lead and Kobeck won by .001 seconds. Amazing finish. For the second straight season the Daytona 500 winner had started dead last. Chris Snow was involved in a pit road accident on lap 135 and could never recover finishing 28th 3 laps down. Nick Phillips led the most laps with 18. The top 12 finishers were within a second of the leader. The top rookie was Mustafa Henderson in 9th. But just like last year, despite dominating and leading the most laps at Atlanta Snow couldn't hold on for the win. Heading down the backstretch on the final lap Travis Elkin put his car in the perfect spot and darted below Snow heading into four. Snow battled back though but Elkin took the win by .001 seconds. Chris Snow came back after his horrible Daytona run to finish 3rd. Polesitter Ren Snow finished 8th. 3 Snow's and their teammate Collins all in the top 8. Rob Zalez probably had the best car at the end of the race. After a restart with about 25 to go, Zalez moved up from 15th to 6th picking off cars left and right. An 8 car wreck on lap 120 knocked out 7 cars. Fields was the only one survived. Fireball Kobeck followed up his Daytona win with a 7th place finish. cmp Pro Rookie Join Date: Mar 2001 Location: Grand Rapids, MI	Subway 500 Results Four different drivers dominated at times during the race today. Rewbie Newsday led 112 laps but finished 36th. Billy Rudd led 113 laps and finished 4th. Sterling Silvers led 118 and finished 2nd but Taco Money led 155 laps and took home the victory by 1.58 seconds. Early on Rewbie Newsday and Rob Zalez pulled away from the pack, but after his green flag pitstop, Newsday come out and was hit by another car. He would never recover. And Zalez was caught on pit road and went a lap down. Chris Snow was involved in one of the first incidents and ended up finishing 39th, 72 laps down.
