Remember the Titans

It was a decent movie, but as far as the football sequences they were just plain horrible.

What, the QB flipping the LB on his back wasn't believable?

Saddly, that was one of the more believable parts

You see the part of the movie where they're in practice and the coach is yelling, "We're gonna change the way we block! We're gonna change the way we tackle!"

Well, either they didn't change anything or the coach didn't know how to teach tackling. Every single hit is delievered high, up around the shoulder pads to the midsection. Sure, it may look phat and dope and stupid, and maybe I'm being over critical because of what was drilled into me back in my days on the ol' ballfield, but if you go around hitting like that you ain't gonna make many (if any) tackle.

Like I said, I may be being overcritical, but I just can't watch horrible football sequences like that.

Screw you, Major League haters!

"Hell of a situation we got here. Two on, two out, your team down a run and you've got the chance to be the hero on national television ... if you don't blow it. Saw your wife last night. Great little dancer. That guy she was with? I'm sure he's a close personal friend, but tell me, what was he doing with her panties on his head?"

Sadly, textbook tackles just don't have the same effect on an audience as do the big hits to the upper part of the body that knocks the guy silly. Sound fundamentals don't make most fans go "Oooh....Aaah" or even "Ouch"...

Sad that everyone is going to vote out a comedy classic this early.
