Play Calling Question
Does anyone have a list of which plays can be called from which formations?

You could play a solo game, check 'call plays yourself', and take a glance yourself. Best to use a QB that knows all the formations I'd guess.

Yeah, I'm making a list, but thought if someone else had done it I could just borrow their work!

Out of curiosity, what are you going to do with that information?

It would serve as a reference to make sure my formations, run direction %s, finesse play %s, and passing zones match up.
For example, do you really want to be throwing downfield from a goal line formation? I have already seen a couple of areas where tweaking things would help out quite a bit. My main concern though is my passing game. I can game plan a stellar defense (even without good players, I am in the top 5 defenses in both leagues I am in), I can handle a solid running game, a ball control passing offense, but I am having trouble going downfield with both clubs. I think part of it may be the formations that I am running from are not conducive to my passing zone %s. |
