Badges, we don't need no stinkin' badges...

this is on the NFL United Way commercial - where does this saying come from? I think it sounds pretty funny.

It's from an old movie - can't remember the title right now, but I think Humphrey Bogart was in it. And then Mel Brooks used it in the scene in "Blazing Saddles" where Hedley Lamarr is hiring all the thugs to attack Rock Ridge.

Dola...

It's "badges" in "Blazing Saddles", and I'm pretty sure it's "badges" in the Humphrey Bogart movie, too.

Double dola...

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is the Bogart movie. The synopsis here mentions that scene specifically.

Blazing Saddles is one of the top 5 comedies of all time, hands down!

In the 80s Weird Al movie UHF (featuring a young Michael Richards), there's a quote "Badgers! We don't need no stinkin' badgers!"
