ADOM : brightest career ever
Some of my favourites races don't know how to swim , which is annoying, so I decided to make them "learn" the skill. If skills improve by practice, I reasoned, maybe they can be built from scratch too. As soon as my brand new dark elven archer was in the hamlet, I had him drop all his things (so they don't rust or be drenched) and dive in one of the small ponds. Followed a cycle of drown, first aid, drown when suddenly a goodwife (one of those pesky yellow T) walks to the place where I dropped my things (on the OTHER side of the pond) and begins to pick the gold coins, the crossbow, nearly everything of value. Then she walks away to a group of other goodwives. My archer scrambles frantically to the group, still half drowning, and promptly kills the first goodwife he mets with his bare hands. Not the good one ! He goes to another but this one HITS HIM, he bleeds and as he was already low on PV, he DIES. There it is :
The Dark Elven archer was slayed by a goodwife in a small hamlet. While totally naked :o Presently his successor is stuck with a cursed 400 (count 'em) stones axe in level 6 of the Druid Dungeon. Repeat after me : characters without the Detect Item status will not try unknown weapons "just to see if they are better than the one they have". |

Or don't do it unless you have some holy water!
I would have tried the axe, too. |

Hahaha this game is so great. I feel like starting a dynasty of all of my failed attempts.

I knew that it was not a good idea to eat this black druid corpse ! Now I exhale sulphur ! And, If I needed the corpse to prove that I've killed him, I'll feel very very dumb!

Quickly figured such out and have began to play! Now I am into the game and know no commands, and on the website it doesn't have a list of buttons. Anyone know where I could find such a thing?

Hit Shift-? for help. Also, there should a text manual included in the game, and you can view it online, also.
