Player Stat Abbreviations
Hello Everyone, While new here... I am not necessarily new to the game as I did buy previous versions, but really never dove in to deep into them... I just bought FOF9 to dedicate my time too, and I am lost on many of the abbreviations that are used to understand my players better...
For example, I was looking at Running Backs under the Depth Chart screen, and while I knew some, the majority I have no idea about. I did a ton of looking on Google, I read the manual through every page, and I can't seem to find any explanation of what the abbreviations stand for... I even did a Google Search for general Football Stat Abbreviations thinking these are likely common when review real players, and came up empty. Does anyone have a link or document that can steer me to better understanding the players abilities? Thanks for your time, Heppy. |

Most stats are fairly familiar, or searchable.
There are a few, at least, that are specific to this game... off the top of my head: PR% for defensive front = what % of pass plays the player on the field for resulted in that player accomplishing a sack, hurry, or knockdown (I think) PD% for defensive players = a very complex formula of the various outcomes of pass coverage, blended into one number: 82.5 is the arbitrary starting point, good stuff make it go higher, bad stuff makes it go lower... a starting player with a score of 80 or more had a rather good season KRBs and KROs: the game uses a metric of "key run blocks" where one blocker is assigned as the lead/impostrnt blocker for a running play, that guy gets an "opportunity" or KRO and if the play is successful using a multi-tiered metric (hatched via Football Outsiders, I think and maybe modified for this game) the blocker is credited with a "key run block" KRB... and a success % can be derived from those I'm sure there are more, those just leap to mind. |
