Very soon, tonight, you will hear from Bruce Fenster. He is going to give
you all the instructions on where and how to download Harpoon2002 Gold, or
to get the CD. Yes, we are done, the game is now available for release. I'm
stealing a wee bit of Bruces' thunder here, but this is not my goal.

I'm writing this to bring to your attention, the incredible group of people
who have worked their hearts out bringing this game to you. People like the
programmers, Bret Mckee and Tony Eischens. Bret has a day job, that almost
defies description. I won't go into details, but think Tom Swift meets IBM.
Bret not only did a huge amount of work on the code, but he also was
invaluable with the twists and turns of the business world. Tony began his
work with us as a Beta tester, and before you know it, is debugging code
and writing installer routines. Tony didn't get a lot of sleep during the
public beta days, believe me. And someone else who didn't get a lot of
sleep, was Bruce Fenster. Bruce was the man to go to, for support questions
and spearheading the beta testing. He has done so much to push the game
along, I can't begin to tell it all. Suffice it to say, without Bruce, we
would not be where we are now.

The Database guys...wow...complete dedication to the minutiae of platform
capabilities. Encyclopedic knowledge...unending desire to find out the best
"truth". Brad Leyte, team manager (not that they needed a lot of managing,
but hey, every team needs a manager) Brad is also the Harpoon2002 Gold
Team liason with Larry Bond and the Admiralty group, with regards to
database info. Assisting him with this project were Fred Galano, Calum
Gibson, and Saul Jacobs. And you cannot talk about Harpoon databases,
without also talking about Jon Reimers brilliant database editor. He won
his Pooner of the Year for one of his editors...he deserves a lifetime
Pooner for his continued support of the game.

There are lot's of other people who helped out along the way, especially
the beta testers. All their names will appear in the "about" section of the
game, and they will always be able to say, that they got their name "on the
box". Their work was invaluable, and we would not have gotten done with the
testing as quickly, or have done as well, had they not done such hard and
diligent work.

Really, when I think back on it, it's almost a miracle that we actually
managed to get this done. We're all amateurs at this stuff, and we all have
real lives, and real jobs, and in around a year, managed to bring this game
to you. We're pretty sure that you're going to like it. Matter of fact, we
bet thousands of hours of our work on it. Harpoon2002 Gold is NOT your old
Harpoon. Forget your old tactics...they aren't going to work. Most of all,
get ready to have as much fun with Harpoon, as you first did, all those
years ago, when Harpoon first came out on those big old 5.4 floppies, and
DOS still ruled the earth.

Get ready....here comes Harpoon2002 Gold! And most of all, remember these
terrific people who worked so hard to make your Harpoon experience
thrilling again.
