Some people are surprised at how little ceremony accompanied coach Graham Sims' 1000th win. His wife, Mary Kate, his children Duncan and Zoe, and their families are seated behind the Wildcats bench, but that's not terribly unusual. Mary Kate almost never misses a game, and the kids, who live nearby, are regular spectators, too. There's a photo opportunity after the game, where the Sims family gathers around Graham as he holds the game ball in his hands.

"You can't predict when something like this will happen," Graham points out. Privately, Graham says he asked the Villanova athletic department to keep things low-key: the ball ceremony and a social media post or two.

The game itself is a fairly routine Villanova win: not many turnovers, lots of assists, solid defense, outshooting their opponent. The low point is a twisted ankle suffered by Dan O'Halloran, who is listed as day-to-day for the next week or so.
Record: 13-2 (1-1).

Graham Sims' Career Record: 1000-150.
