Every set Riot replaces a lot of the champions, origins and traits in the game. So most of what is currently happening on PBE - the beta prior to set 9 going live, is learning all of the new units and traits. The closer I am to having all of those things memorized before real ranked games start, the better. I've now played enough that I've started to formulate my strategy. If you play a little TFT, you'll know what this means, if you don't, don't worry about it. The fun of this dynasty will be figuring out what info to share for people that don't play.

My current PBE Strategy - Just to give myself some direction as I learn

This is just a cut and paste on the notepad++ doc I put together last night:

Try to flex between:

Shurima Azir Carry

Zaun Zeri Gunners

Frejlord Aphelios DeadEye

Front Line:

Bruiser/Bastion (maybe juggernauts?) frontline units:

Renekton/Cho/Maokai/Poppy - 1 costs
Kassadin/Vi/Sett/Warwick - 2 costs
RekSai/Taric/Garen/Darius - 3 costs
Sejuani/Shen/Nasus/Jarvan - 4 costs

Back Line (ranged AD):

Jhin/Kayle/Samira/Trist - 1 cost
Ashe/Jinx - 2 cost
Akshan - 3 cost

Other early game units:

Shurima: Cassio, Taliyah
Gunners: Ekko, Jayce (Jinx stays)
Deadeye: Ashe/Soraka/Lissandra (invokers/Frejlord)

Build around Rageblade ideally.

Azir: Rageblade/RFC/JG
Zeri: Rageblade/IE/(Mobalytics says Titans, really?)
Aphelios: Rageblade/IE/GS

Tons of:

Bows -> Azir
Mix -> Zeri
Swords -> Aphelios
