**WCW Starrcade: Main Event - WCW World Heavyweight Championship Match**

**Hulk Hogan (F) with Jimmy Hart vs. Ric Flair (H) (C)**

---

### Pre-Match Buildup:

The arena is electric as Starrcade's marquee match-up looms. The titantron showcases a captivating montage detailing the decades-long rivalry between these two icons. From their first encounter in the '80s to their brawls in WWF and now in WCW, every frame drips with history and significance.

### Entrances:

Jimmy Hart appears first, microphone in hand. "Are you ready to see the next WCW World Heavyweight Champion?" he yells, hyping up the crowd. Hogan's theme hits and the place erupts. The Real American marches down the aisle, a sea of red and yellow "Hulkamania" signs flooding the crowd. Hogan rips his shirt apart, setting the crowd into another frenzy, then steps into the ring to pose for the thousands in attendance.

But then... "Also sprach Zarathustra" blares through the speakers. Flair, the 14-time World Champion, appears draped in a sequined robe, the gold belt glinting around his waist. With an air of smug confidence, he struts to the ring, pausing occasionally to "Wooo!" and style and profile.

### Pre-Match Face-off:

Once in the ring, Flair takes off his robe and flaunts the title belt in Hogan’s face. Hogan merely smirks, cracks his knuckles, and looks to the sky as if drawing strength from some higher power. The referee holds up the championship, then hands it off to an attendant. The bell rings.

### Act 1: A Display of Arrogance and Power

The match kicks off with Hogan using his size advantage, pushing Flair into the corner. The two engage in a classic test of strength, which Hogan wins, followed by a sequence of arm-drags and body slams that send Flair scrambling outside the ring to regroup. Flair sneaks in a thumb to the eye and attempts a Figure Four, but Hogan counters and hits a big boot, setting the tone for a back-and-forth battle.

### Act 2: Tactics over Brawn

Flair gains control after Jimmy distracts the referee, allowing Flair to land a low blow. The Nature Boy then targets Hogan's legs, setting him up for the Figure Four later on. He executes a perfect dropkick and even an unexpected top-rope crossbody, which Hogan kicks out of at two. Flair, ever the opportunist, locks in the Figure Four, using the ropes for leverage when the ref isn’t looking. Hogan grimaces in pain but reverses the hold, forcing Flair to break it.

### Act 3: High Stakes, Higher Spots

With both men showing wear and tear, they pull out all the stops. Flair attempts a flying knee drop, but Hogan moves, sending Flair crashing into the mat. Hogan hits a series of moves, including a suplex and a running leg drop, but Flair kicks out just in time. Hulk goes for another leg drop, but this time Flair rolls out of the way and locks in another Figure Four.

### The Climactic Sequence:

Despite the excruciating pain, Hogan powers out and hulks up, sending the crowd into a frenzy. He hits his signature moves, big boot, and another leg drop, but this time, Flair miraculously rolls him up into a small package, using the tights for extra leverage. One, two, three. Flair retains the title.

### Post-Match:

A shocked Hogan argues with the referee about the pin, showing the indignation only a thwarted hero can muster. Flair, meanwhile, retrieves his title and, in an act of ultimate hubris, struts around Hogan, flaunting the gold. But there's respect there too, the unspoken acknowledgment of a war well-fought.

As Hogan leaves the ring, disheartened but resolute, Flair takes a mic. "To be the man, you've got to beat the man! And Hulk Hogan, you may be a legend, but tonight, Ric Flair is still THE MAN! Woooo!"

The crowd gives a standing ovation as Flair holds the championship belt aloft, the camera capturing this iconic moment for the annals of wrestling history.

### Commentary:

Tony Schiavone: "Unbelievable, folks! History has been made here tonight. The legacy of this rivalry continues to grow."

Bobby Heenan: "That's why he's the Nature Boy, Tony! He might bend the rules, but he doesn't break them. Flair is still your World Champion!"

The screen fades to black, capturing the image of Flair standing triumphant, title in hand, as fireworks explode behind him. A five-star match to cap off a five-star night.
