2002 POSITION REPORT: Relief Pitching
Joshua Dinger (Brl/Good/Good) (9/6/7) is only 23, and already has 59 career saves. He’s making $3.6M this year via arbitration 27-year-old Howard Boykins (9/6/8) returns as our best lefty set-up option. He’s had 3.14 and 3.16 ERA’s the last two years. The best-looking righty is 31-year-old John Honda (8/7/7). 26-year-old lefty Cosme Reynoso (Good/Avg/Brl) (7/6/7) is also worth mentioning. He appeared in 79 games last year, posting a 3.69 ERA. [b]Tomas Nieves (8/6/7) is a 27-year-old righthander who can give us some good innings as well.
