As for the Wings. After going up 2-1 in Game 2 they had a ton of chances. Three breakaways. Granted, two were by Larionov (who probably would have preferred to pass) and one by Maltby, not a great goalscorer. They didn't bury the chances and the Ducks got two questionable (from a Wings goaltending/defensive perspective) goals at the end of the 3rd period. Giguere's been great. The series feels like Phoenix in 1996 (Wings won, but Khabibuhlin was a star) or the Kings in 2000 (Potvin stonewalled 'em).
Big game tonight. Huge.
