If nothing happens in the new CBA or our dollar doesn't take a nice spike up soon, there's going to be some happy rich teams when they start picking Comrie, Smyth, Hemsky, Semenov, Brewer, et al off of the Oiler's roster when we just can't afford to pay them anymore.

I think you need to also look at what they charge for tickets in Dallas compared to Edmonton, and that includes the currency conversion. That is a big part of it too. When I looked last year, Dallas was close to double compared to Minnesota.
