2000 POST-SEASON REPORT

POTENTIAL FREE AGENTS/CONTRACT EXTENTIONS
3B Anthony Schuster—He had a very good year, our best prospect at the position (Muniz) just got called up to AA in September, and he only wants an increase of around $800K per year. I ink him to a 3-year extension for $3.99 per year.
C Theodore Barrett—He actually is asking for a little less money. We’ve got a five-star prospect at AA (McDonald). At age 33, I sign him to a 2-year extension. (He wanted three)
MR Milford Holley—He’s 34 years old, and wants a four-year deal for $3.35M per year. We’ve got a deep pen, with three 3 ½-star-or-better guys waiting in the wings at AAA. See ya Milford.
SP Jimmy Cobbs—He’s had three straight nice seasons, but he’s looking for a $1.5M per year raise, and we’ve got Willie “The Fireball” Prahl in AAA, who had a 13-8 record with a 3.91 ERA down there, and his ratings are up to 7/6/4. I let Cobbs fly.
MR Santiago Martines—Another MR who is wanting too much money. Bye.
SP John Washburn—He agrees to a minor league contract.
2B/SS Steve Fulmer—He only wants a near-minimum salary, and he’s still got “B” range at 2B. I sign him to a one-year deal for $350K.
3B Samuel Charneco—He gave me a decent bat off the bench, and is still rated 6/4/5. I give him a one year deal for $750K.
SP James Shultis—He went 7-10 with a 3.85 ERA, and still only wants $900K per year for three years. Sign him up!
SP William Braziel—Only wants $430K for 2 years. Rated 6/5/6. good insurance. I sign him.

MANAGER UPDATE
My reputation rises to Very Inexperienced. The owner mood is at 53. It has been a Relationship with Blaney for 10 months now. I pop the question and she still doesn’t want to get hitched yet. I get offered a 1 year contract extension for $550K.
