When I play, I do so mostly on emotion. My strong point is feeling things out, as opposed to the hoopsguy technique (which works very well). I think there's definitely a place for emotion and passion in these games (even when it's faked), but I agree that some people, such as RealDeal, take it way too far.
I don't know what the answer is, but I'd hate to see certain play-styles become illegal. The games would be extremely boring if they simply became emotionless logic-puzzles.
