That's the key holdup now about Malkin playing in Pittsburgh this year. If the transfer agreement is in place, I would expect Malkin to be a Penguin. The CBA governs the size of base salary (which will not change if the offer is made in 2006) and I expect the Pens to include enough bonus' to entice him to come to the NHL.
