I'm mixed on this... while I never even got a single character to maximum level on any of the many NWN servers I played, I also realize that if leveling is quick and easy, I never find myself
valuing the process. I don't want to run around in the woods for 400 hours to build a powerful character (do you hear me Avlis?) but I also don't want to feel like I'm gaining something for nothing.
Their comments on "death penalty" are assuring to me, though -- their balance sounds okay to me, in general, and their thinking sounds right on.
