Team Review

Ok, so what does all that mean?

It means we are happy with most of our team - which is good because there are no true marquee free agents in this years group, nor do we have enough money to bid on them anyway - but we aren't happy with everyone.

First off, we are in the market for a gamebreaker at RB. The return of Turley should help, but Alexander and Reese aren't scaring anyone.

Second, we need to solidy our LG position. It can almost certainly be done internally, but if the right opportunity presented itself, we wouldn't pass on a star lineman.

Third, we must get a punter. This should really be second, but it's a freakin' punter.

Fourth, a big-time WR. We have too many marginal WR's. Philly showed just how important having 2 devastating WR's can be.

Fifth, youth in the secondary. The players we have back there are good...for now. But we have to start thinking ahead.

Off-season Ammo

A fair question would be how can we achieve those goals? First off, the impending trade of Dexter Jackson will bring something positive in return. Coupled with multiple renegotiations, we should be in position to land either 1 big-name player (which almost certainly wont exist in this free agent class), or 3-5 mid-level players in free agency.

But our biggest asset is the draft. We own the 7th and 12th picks in the first round - which means there wont be any players in this years draft that will be out of our reach. We are in position to move all the way up the top spot, if need be.

We should only be 2-3 players away from returning to the playoffs, assuming we stay healthy. Here's to trying.
