Match #13: home vs Port Vale (19th with 13 points, we have 6 points)
S: Mellor/Kaviedes/Vine
AMC: Bridge-Wilkinson
DMC: Evans/Wellens (with up arrows)
D: Davis/James/Coyne/Foley
GK: Jensen

They show a 4-4-2 formation with moderate push from the wingers.

12': Marc Bridge-Wilkinson goes on a breakaway after receiving a beautiful pass from Rowan Vine. Alone with the keeper, he doesn't miss his chance. Up 1-0.

The half ends with us up 1-0. BW's shot was our sole shot in the half. Looks like we're simply controlling the ball on our end...

59': A great center from the right from Richie Wellens to a diving Neil Mellor is headed in. Up 2-0.

63': Our third goal is the fruit of a great Mellor to BW to Kaviedes combination, ending with Kavi putting on a display and scoring the goal. Up 3-0.

FINALLY!!! What a relief to win with some sort of a good lead...

Final Score: Luton 1, Port Vale 0
Shots: Luton 5(3), Port Vale 9(5)

MoM: Sol Davis with a rating of 9. He won 10 of 11 headers, 5 of them key headers. We had 5 other players with ratings of 8 (Jensen, Foley, James, Evans, Wellens)

We remain in 23rd despite the nice win.

Richie Wellens just picked up his 5th yellow card and will miss the next match. He also suffered some bruised ribs and would have probably missed the match anyway.

The win is a huge morale booster. Everybody who played now has superb morale. They're still unhappy though...
