They show a 4-4-2 formation with heavy push from the wingers.

19': Richie Wellens steals the ball on the right and quickly passes it all the way to the left side, to the feet of Enoch Showunmi. Show pumps it back to center, where Ivan Kaviedes' volley makes it 1-0.

38': A rare defensive blunder from Tony James leads to their first goal. He gave them the ball on the right. Tied 1-1.

46': One minute into injury time, Marc Bridge-Wilkinson gets a free kick just outside their penalty box. He unexpectedly plays it back to Ivan Kaviedes who promptly plays it forward to Kevin Foley, who scores from the penalty spot. The foul that caused the free kick was a professional foul, the player get sent off. They switch to a 3-4-2 formation. We're up 2-1.

Halftime score is 2-1. Although we're getting outshot 4-6, we're having putting more shots on target (2-1). They are winning possession with 53%, 25 of which on our end of the field. This isn't good...

51': A great BW to Kavi exchange, then Kavi to Show. Show has no angle, but he still goes for it and scores!!! Up 3-1. Show is having a great game.

63': Kevin Foley pumps a beautiful long pass to a BW on the run. Behind the line of defender, he won't miss his chance. Now up 4-1!

our zone: 15/19
middle: 18/23
their zone: 13/11
Overall: 46/54

We lost possession, got outshot, but put more on target, where it did count. We ended the night with 7 players with a rating of 8, and another one with a rating of 9 (Richie Wellens). It just was one of those nights, where everything clicked...

The Luton Town Chairman could not hide his delight following the win, and all the players felt relieved at the big win. A great morale booster!

Achievement News
Richie Wellens
and Ivan Kaviedes are both named on the League One Team of the Week. It's the first time ever that Kavi has been named on any team of the week in England. Wellens, on the other hand, has been a regular of these type of award. I even see that he was Blackpool fans' player of the year for the last three season (04/05, 05/06, and 06/07)
