Two players drop salary due to our relegation from the Championship. Ivan Kaviedes and James O'Connor both have clauses of a 10% wage drop in case of relegation. They also have a 10% wage increase clause in case of a promotion though...
Reading about player's wages dropping and such, I go take a look at how above the wage budget I am. Ouch! The wage budget has been dropped from 93k to 74k, certainly due to us being in League One now. I'm currently at $98,348 per week, with 2 signees still to come... Some cleaning up will have to happen...
First cleaning I do is I release veteran defender Mark Williams on a free transfer. That move costs us $1800 and will save us $1800 per week in wages. Still a long way to go...
