Giuseppe Rossi
has completed his loan period and returns to Manchester United. I don't even feel the need to try for an extension.

Match #18: home vs Leeds (currently 19th with 19 points, 3 ahead of us)
odds: Luton 7-2, Leeds 4-6 (fav)
S: Showunmi/Kaviedes/Vine
AMC: Bridge-Wilkinson
DM: Davis/Evans/Foley (small up arrows on wingbacks)
D: Oyedele/James/Coyne
GK: Murphy

We basically go with the same tactics as the match against Leicester. Shola Oyedele gets his second start in as many games.

Leeds played a 4-4-2 formation with moderate push from the wingers in their last match and they show the same formation as we get to the field for this match.

Both teams played on the 18th, so conditions are similar on both sides.

1st minute: Their keeper is taking his sweet time after picking up a loose ball. That is, until Ivan Kaviedes decides he's had enough and he puts some pressure. The keeper freaks out and shanks his kick from the side of his foot. The ball falls to the feet of Kavi, the stuff dreams are made of, as the commentator said. Kavi doesn't miss such a chance, alone with the keeper. We go up early 1-0.

17th minute: They center from the left, to the edge of the 6 yard box. Four Hatters to 1, but he still heads it in, bleh. Tied 1-1.

24th minute: Joe Murphy plays a beautiful long pall to Ivan Kaviedes, straight down the middle. Kavi buys time by sending the ball to Enoch Showunmi to his left. Show sends it back in the middle to Marc Bridge-Wilkinson who scores with a precise shot! Up again, 2-1.

A crazy first half comes to an end with us up 2-1. We had 7 shots, they had 11. On target was a bit more even, 4-5 for them. Possession is an even 50-50 split.

52nd minute: A great pass from Paul Evans to the feet of Enoch Showunmi is at the source of our third goal. Show is left with only the keeper to beat and he forces him to rush out, leaving him to score with a nice shot. Up 3-1.

56th minute: A crazy bending cross is followed by a shot with absolutely no angle from their left striker. Somehow, it goes in. Still up, 3-2.

I just about die atfer 2 minutes of injury time, as they center a ball that their striker hist poorly, but Joe Murphy lets it in. Offside was called, however... We hang on to our lead, and get the win!

Final Score: Luton 3, Leeds 2
Shots (on target): Luton 11 (5), Leeds 17 (7)
MoM: Joe Murphy with a rating of 9. We also have 4 other players with ratings of 8.

Possession: (us/them)
our zone: 20/14
middle: 20/19
their zone: 12/15
Overall: 52/48

For a rare occurence, we win the possession battle. We move up to 21st, 1 point off of the relegation zone line.

The win is a huge morale booster. Almost everybody now has superb morale. This is important, since our next match is against relegation battlers Sunderland.
