With the beginning of April, I get a slew of reminders about contracts that will expire in 3 months. I look at a few of them and release a bunch of young players on cheapo contracts.
With the going away of
Steve Howard, thus freeing the team of $6800 on wages per week, and a few minor free releases, I have brought the team wages to only $650 over our weekly wage budget. What I just see is that with the sale of Howard, the team board increased our wage budget from 61k to 65k per week, nice. The same kind of thing happened when I sold
Kevin Nicholls for 750k earlier in the season. I guess they like it when you make a big sale.
