Mar-Mac Stays Undefeated with 37-27 Win
MCGREGOR—The dream inaugural season for the Mar-Mac Spartans continued Friday night with a 37-27 victory over the Valley of Elgin Tigers. The win takes Mar-Mac to a 4-0 record and marks the fourth time this season the Spartan offense has scored 30 or more points on their opponents.

Mar-Mac's big-play defense got into the game early when LB Bubba Porter intercepted a pass on the third play of the game. Six plays later, Spartan star TE Seth Hackett caught a touchdown that put Mar-Mac up, 7-0. On the ensuing kickoff, a punishing hit by freshman safety Patrick Hall—making his first recorded tackle—forced the ball loose, and Mar-Mac recovered. Two plays later, a 24-yard run by J.B. Chapman put the Spartans in position to score on another Lincoln Ingram touchdown pass. Only 5 minutes into the game, Mar-Mac led, 14-0. The Spartans never surrendered their lead.

Spartan QB Lincoln Ingram continued his sparkling senior season, throwing for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns, including 2 to TE Seth Hackett. DE Kennedy Eisenbraun garnered yet another sack, giving him one in each contest this season. For his efforts, Ingram was voted UMVC player of the week.
