I was kind of worried we'd go down for a couple of weeks, just as I was getting into the meat of my mid season report, and all the contract negoiating that happen around December 31st... phew... I'm sure you are all as relieved as I am

Steve Howard really is a goal scoring machine. He scored 17 all season long last year and he's already up to 13 this season. Interestingly enough, my three atatcking midfielders (Mansell, Jones, Bridge-Wilkinson) have combined for a total of 8 goals. I find it interesting since there's usually only one of them at once on the field, while there are three strikers...

Bartosz is a great striker in that he can set up goals, or have them be set up for him and finish them with style... Richard Johnson really is an unsung hero of that first half of the season, as will become even clearer with the next two stats tables...

As I just said, Johnson is a very valuable member of the club, an anchor in the middle of the defensive middie scheme that is the basis for both our attack and defense. Another one we don't always hear much about, but who's having a great season, is left full back Sol Davis. He's really stepped up his play when Matt Carbon went down with a month long injury...

Johnson again shines in the MoM nominations, but it's also good to see keeper Mark Goodlad being mentionned here too. He's certainly kept a few games closer than expected this season...
