One of the best gifts I've gotten was a red oversized mug (a hemisphere, really), which I've used for 5 or 6 years to warm soup, noodles, etc. I also had (still have, actually) a wallet given to me from my grandmother as part of a graduation gift that I used for well over a decade.
I know there are other things, I just need to think of what they may be...
