Sure you can. The question was pointless. Did the cop ask "Do you have any biological weapons in the car?" There's no basis for asking either question as I doubt GE was giving off WMD vibes. Besides, if he had some would he say yes? The question has no purpose at all but to potentially offend the driver.
Besides, if he says no to searching the car then it gets impounded and ripped apart when they get a warrant.
