Assuming the second beast Baldur is refering to is the baby pig, (not another large pig that wasn't seen until this point), Benton does the following:

Benton watches the dwarf charge the smaller pig, then he hears the wizard cast his spell. Taking Baldar's instructions to heart, Benton stayed firmly planted in place until the bolt of energy passed his shoulder. Benton, knew from working with wizards in the past that Baldar would need a short period of recovery, so he moves in on the pig on a line that possitions his body between the animal and the wizard.
