Week 9 Training Results

After a couple of weeks with no real results to show for it, our defensive training really paid off this week. Two of our defensive trainees, Norwegian Christian Kvam and Spaniard Zarpas Lerma have both improved to passable (6) in defending. This means that all five of our trainees are at a passable level. We expect William Brown, and possibly newcomer Mattias Leier, to improve to solid (7) within the next month or so.

6 players rose a level in form this week.
14 players remained at their current form level.
Only 2 players (Forrest “Gump” Tobias and Pete “The Old Goat” Tomlin) dropped a level in form.

The team’s average form rose 2 points to an even 6.0 (passable).

Top Form

We still have no players in excellent (8) form, but are up to eight that are at a solid (7) level of play at the moment:

Wingback #23 William Brown
Forward #11 Johannes Henriksson (starter)
Keeper #13 Cornelius Jernigan (starter)
Defender #21 Zarpas Lerma
Wingback #5 Arlen Lucas (starter)
Winger #10 Olav Mauffret (starter)
Keeper #1 Darryl Read
Wingback #22 Tyler Willard (starter)

With Max Dodge no longer in the picture, the dubious honor of “form dog” is split this week. Super-sub Brooks Brannon and reserve forward Ruben Stewart are both stuck at weak (4) form. Better them than any of our starters.

Value

Average player value broke the $100,000 mark this week, and currently sits at $102,143 (up $2,286 from last week).

Total player value is currently at $2,145,000, up $48,000 this week.

Big Gainers

This week’s top gainer was goalkeeper Cornelius Jernigan once again. “Corny,” as the players have taken to calling him, must love being a Seaman, because his form has risen from disastrous (1) to solid (7) in only seven weeks. His value jumped another $34,000 this week, placing his current assessed value at $519,000 (the first SSFC player to break the half-million mark).

19 year old wingback Tyler Willard is also worthy of mention. After only a few short weeks with the team, Tyler has begun to look comfortable with his teammates, and it shows both on the pitch and the training grounds. His value rose $11,000 this week, bringing him to $106,000.

Up Next: Weekly financial updates and the status of the club on Saturday. After that, we play host to the new team to series IV.49, The Cheats. Stay tuned!
