Pennington Waits His Turn

Hempstead, NY - Once again Chad Pennington has found himself the backup quarterback of the New York Jets, after getting off to a slow start, Pennington has been relieved by Testaverde to try and save a sinking ship. Coach McGregor insists that Pennington was replaced by the veteran Testaverde because he has dealt with tough times. McGregor said he did not want his young quarterback's confidence to be shattered during these tough times. Many are begining to speculate however, that McGregor has lost confidence in his quarterback and wonder whether the Jets will go after a quarterback in the first round of the 2004 draft.

General Manager, Michael Marra stated that he has spoken with Pennington and that Chad understands the situation and is totally behind Testaverde.
Can you imagine if the Jets now lose their franchise quarterback. Its good to be a New York Jets right now!
