Kansas City, MO (Reuters) – Today, Kansas City quarterback Kenyon Kramer was named the league’s most valuable player. “I’m humbled and honored by this award,” said Kramer, who was the Oakland Raiders’ first-round pick (eighth overall) in 2002 out of Southwest Louisiana. “I can’t thank my teammates and coaching staff enough.” Kramer, who signed with the Chiefs in 2008 after playing six seasons with the Raiders (starting four of them), finished the year second in passing yards (3,880), eighth in touchdowns (22) and 12th in rating (83.9). He threw only 12 interceptions.
