They always get beat by "something", and it is usually the Maple Leafs. 4 out of the last 5 seasons the Ottawa season has been ended by Toronto. It seems that the coaching staff, that has been headed by Jacques Martin all of those years, can't get past the Leafs. So, you can keep trotting him out and hoping that somehow you don't have to face Toronto, or you can make a change. Good coaches have to move on from time to time because they cannot get the team to the next level. There are a few teams who would love to have him and he could do wonderful things for, but he does not seem able to move the Senators ahead at this time.
Lalime was awful. I don't see how you go out there in such an important game and blow it like he did. He isn't the only reason they lost, but he is a big part of it. He has struggled all season. It's time to move on with that position as well.
It's tough. These guys don't have it, but I have no idea who you find to replace them.
