The Jets looked sharp to start the game with Pennington at the helm. The team took their first two drives of the game in for touchdowns. Then Pennington handed the reins to Jamie Martin, who is competing for a roster spot. Martin completed 18 of 31 passes for 130 yards, but was intercepted 3 times. New Orleans converted one of the Jets turnovers for points, a late first half field goal, but the backbreaker was Victor Green's interception return for a 78 yard touchdown, and New Orleans first lead of the game, 17-14. The two would exchange late game field goals, and New Orleans held on for the victory.

On defense, the Jets played the run well, holding New Orleans to an average of 3.1 yards per carry. Overall, New Orleans had 249 yards in total offense. Rookie Defensive Tackle, Ty Warren had 6 tackles and 1.5 sacks for the game. Sam Cowart led the team with 13 tackles. The Jets visit the New York Giants next week.
