Jets Fill Staff
Jets Fill Out Staff
March 1, 2003
The Jets’ new coach Ed McGregor finished putting his staff together this week. The team has hired Fred Coffey as the team’s Offensive Coordinator and Arnie Hanrahan as the team’s Defensive Coordinator.
McGregor brought with him from Michigan Hanrahan who was the Wolverines Defensive Coordinator for the past six years. Hanrahan also has NFL experience as a Defensive Backs Coach with Denver (1995-1996), and Washington’s Defensive Backs Coach from (1992-1994).
Coffey was with the Jets the past three years and remains one of two holdovers from Edward’s staff. Coffey was the team’s quarterback coach and McGregor feels that Coffey’s relationship with Pennington is one that should continue.
The organization also promoted Daryl Whiting from Assistant Supervisor of Scouting Personnel to the organization’s Head Scout.
