January 13, 2003
Hempstead, New York

General Manager Terry Bradway is about to enter the last season of his contract and would like to security to know that he is in a long term position with the Jets.

Bradway has been the Jets GM for two seasons now, following the departure of Bill Parcells and Al Groh. Bradway is responsible for hiring Edwards and keeping the pieces in place to be in the playoffs the past two seasons.

Some executives around the league have questioned how Bradway has handled the draft. For example trading up to get Santana Moss in 2001, and the first round selection of Defensive End, Bryan Thomas in 2002, despite the fact that the Jets have Shaun Ellis and John Abraham.

It is believed that Bradway is looking for a 5 year deal.
