Youth Squad Promotion

Unfortunately I was correct in assuming that the youth squad would be a disappointment again this week. 19 year old winger-wannabee Guillem Canals has been auctioned off piece by piece to the local organ banks.

Week 9 Financial Update

Previous Balance: $1,409,415

Revenue

Crowd (FOFC Cup Match vs. Calibiri) - $4,729
Sponsors - $97,515
Temporary (4 new supporters) - $120

Total Revenue - $102,364

Expenses

Arena Upkeep - $28,441
Player Wages - $48,278
Temporary (youth squad promotion of Roland Chan) - $2,000
Staff & Specialists - $48,000
Youth Squad Support - $20,000

Total Expenses: $146,719

Net Income/Loss: -$44,335

New Balance: $1,365,060

A week without a home league match means we lost a little money, but no big surprise there. It doesn’t look like we’ll be making much more money at all this season, though, as our two remaining games at The Docks are against the series bottom-feeders (Harrisburg Harries and WoM FC). Our plans to make a splash with a new forward may be put on hold unless we can find a deal.

Team Information

Team Spirit: Composed (5/10) (no change)
Team Confidence: Decent (4/6) (down two levels)

Sponsor Attitude: Dancing In The Streets (9/9) (no change)
Supporter Attitude: Satisfied (6/9) (down two levels)
Supporter Club: 1,776 (up four)

Our typically fickle supporters were surprisingly understanding of the loss last weekend to Big Reds, and four new ones even signed up despite the shutout.

Up Next: On the road for the second week in a row, we travel to Detroit to hopefully avenge the embarrassing 4-nil drubbing we suffered at the hands of the Ramblers in week five. Stay tuned!
