3rd and 11 on the UT34, and the MSU defense substitutes in their dime package. We're content to run the ball, calling another option right. The DE is in rush mode and comes straight at me, which allows Brewster to spring free. He runs freely through the defense for 13 and a first down.
We come back with option left and Brewster gets 5 up the sideline. We pound the ball up the middle with Brewster for another 6 and a first down at the MSU48. Finally, some breaks.
Option right and the defense smothers Brewster again. I gain 3 before being dropped. 2nd down and 7, and we go with a play action pass. MSU brings the blitz and Prescott doesn't stop his defender. I'm dropped for a loss and out squirts the ball.
A big pileup ensues, but MSU has recovered the ball at the UT49.
Man, we had something going there, too.
