Stubbs Promoted From Youth Squad, Finds Spot on SSFC Roster

(AP – Chicago, IL) Data King, GM and owner of the Screamin’ Seamen Football Club, announced earlier today that a new player had been added to the SSFC roster. Keith Stubbs, an 18 year old defender from nearby Schaumburg, Illinois, was promoted from the club’s youth squad and has been granted a space on the B-Team roster.

“Keith looks to be a decent young player on the back line,” stated King during a brief press conference. “He still needs some seasoning, but is significantly younger than some of our other defensive trainees.”

When asked if this meant SSFC would be selling the rights to another of their defensive trainees, King refused to comment.

Stubbs was officially placed on the Screamin’ Seamen payroll earlier today, with a modest listed salary of $30,160.

Youth Pull

Keith Stubbs has been promoted from the youth squad and will play with our second team. He is rated as inadequate (5) in defending, and is two years younger than one of our other inadequate defenders, Bill Rubin. Bill will be placed on the transfer market soon, for anyone who may be interested. Keith will wear the #20 jersey for SSFC, and will see his first action this Wednesday against the Hamas Mad Bombers.

As you can see, we’re in pretty good shape financially. Part of this is because three of our first four league matches were home games, and we only have four home matches in the last ten weeks of the season.

We’re pretty well off, all the same, but barring any more good youth pulls like Hyman Morey, I have no plans to make any major personnel changes for the remainder of the season. We will hold onto our money, and see what would be most beneficial for us come the end of the season.

Up Next: We’re in San Francisco, preparing for a match against a winless Gohira team. Stay tuned!
