Season 2 - Team Status

Here is the status of the Screamin' Seamen organization, as we move into the fourth week of league play.

Players

-Players Under Contract: 22
-Nationalities: American (17), Romanian (1), Finnish (1), Swedish (1), Spanish (1), Norwegian (1)
-Average Age: 23 years old
-Total Squad Value: $1,761,000
-Average Player Value: $80,045
-Total Weekly Wages: $24,462

Training and Team Spirit

-Training Level: 97%
-Training Type: Defending (our standard, and the reason we play 5-4-1 in friendly matches)
-Team Spirit: Content
-Confidence: Strong

The Docks

Our team's arena is called the Docks, and can currently seat 17,350 rabid Seamen fans. The number of seats are broken down as follows, by type:

-Terraces: 10,845
-Basic Seating: 4,340
-Seats Under Roof: 1,735
-Seats in VIP Boxes: 430

A home sellout earns us $91,900 in profit, but the stadium costs us $11,271 every week in upkeep, whether we use it or not. It's not all gravy.

Financials

We're in a better financial state than a lot of other clubs. A big part of that is due to the fact that I have never allowed my club to go into debt. I do not believe in operating under the break even line. That, combined with the success we have had thus far in league play, means that we are financially sound. We currently have nearly $160,000 in the bank, and receive sponsorship payments of nearly $50,000 every week. Aside from the expenses already mentioned, we also pay out $31,500 per week on out staff, and $20,000 per week on our youth squad. All of this, combined with the income from home games and other sources revenue means that we're doing well, financially.

-Sponsors: Delirious
-Supporter Club (The Swabbies): 1,069 members strong.
-Supporter Attitude: High on Life.

The Club

-Youth Squad Level: Solid (Only one step away from the highest possible; excellent).

Specialists
-Goaltending Coaches: 2
-Assistant Coaches: 7
-Sports Psychologists: 1
-Spokespersons: 3 (or "Spokesladies", typically hired away from The Admiral Theater. Got to keep those other sponsors and supporters happy. )
-Physiotherapists: 7
-Doctors: 1

Overall

Overall, we are in very good shape. Our player wages are below average for a Division Four team, yet we continue to win. We have a good training program going, concentrating on developing young defensive talent to either replace aging starters or be sold off in the future. On top of all that, we are financially sound, and continue to generate a small but steady profit.

Up Next: Our toughest match to date, as we face off against Rambers. Stay tuned!
