Bird at 16 after sinking a 20 foot putt, but 18 the putter lets Jimmy down. He gets overly aggressive with a 28 foot and the ball rolls 8 feet by, then he misses the comebacker. Back 9 - 35, round - 74. (-5)
Duncan Baxter - (-11)
3 pars. Back 9 - 35, round score of 69.(-11)
Colton Mayes - (-19)
Coming into the last 3 holes, Mayes has 3 birdies in 6 holes on the back. On 16, Since he has such a large lead, he elected to go for the green in two. He didn't make it, but he did set himself up for an easy chip up and 1 putt birdie. Mayes finds the sand off the tee at 17 and he can't escape with a par, but he rebounds on 18 by making an 18 footer for birdie. Mayes birdies 5 of 9 holes on the back 9 shooting a 32. The 66 for the round was the best of the day, and unless he completely melts down on Sunday this is now an also ran tourney. (-20)
