Group 1 - Holes 16 - 18

Shane Kormelink - (-5);
After failing to reach the par 5 - 16th in two it appeared Kormelink had left himself a difficult chip and would be lucky to make par. However a great putt from 24 feet dropped and Kormelink drops another stroke. A par at 17 is followed by another great drive at 18, a nice approache and a putt later and Shane closed the 3rd round with a backside score of 33 and an impressive total round score of 67. (-7)

Kyle Smith - (-3)
Smith, who had managed just one birdie on the day at number 6, gets another birdie at 16, then hits a nice iron to about 15 feet on 17 and makes the putt for a second bird on the back. Smith shoots 34 on the back nine and 69 for the round. (-5)

Group 2 - Holes 13 - 15

Kevin Wayne - (-4);
The good ball striking for Wayne again fails to pay off on 13 as a par is recorded. However. finally the approch shots give Wayne a chance to make a run at birdie on 14 and 15 and he converts both. (-6)

Michael Weideman - (-5)
Matches Wayne by getting 2 birds on the 3 holes. Michael's birds come at 13 and 15. (-7)

Group3 - Holes 10 - 12

AJ Tucker - (-2);
Par Par .On 12 - the 3rd shot iron from the fairway drops down the chute and hits only inches from the pin. By the time the ball stops it's 7 feet. The putt is made and tucker has a birdie.. (-3)

Mike Tokunaga - (-8)
A blemish appears on Tokunaga's scorecard. Bogey at 10 is followed by 2 pars. (-7)

Rolin Bywater - (-2)
Bywater begins to heat up on the back - angry after dropping the stroke at 9, he birdies 10 and 12 to get underpar for the round. (-4)

Group 4 - Holes 7 - 9

Brian Babson- (-5);
Babson begins to show his inconsistent nature and the slip in the 3rd round at Pebble begins to look like it might repeat itself. At 7 the tee ball finds the right side trap - bogey. At 8 Babson again finds a greenside bunker and his 6 foot bogey putt lips the cup before dropping or a double would have been scored. A par at 9 and Babson's hopes to challenge Mayes appear gone. A frontside score of 39.(-3)

TE Almighty - (-11)
Pars out on the front and records a 32. (-11)

Kyle Kappe III - (-8)
Pars 7 and 8. 3 putts on 9 from 33 feet leaves Kappe with a bogey and a frontside score of 36.(-7)

Group 5 - Holes 4 - 6

Jimmy Fuijita- (-5);
Smartly played birdie at number 4 is followed by 2 pars. (-6)

Duncan Baxter - (-9)
Baxter, who doesn't have the length to reach many par 5s in two, does a great job of possitioning himself to make a run with the putter. Again on 4...the 3rd shot to the green is around a dozen feet and the putt dropped. At 6, again a par 5 played to the green in regulation and the putt is made.(-11)

Colton Mayes - (-14)
Mayes follows Baxter around on both par 5s, and his results are identical. He also manages to get up and down from a trap on 5 to save par. (-16)
