Round 2 : Front 9 - Probable Cuts

Fad Braxton - (+4)
Braxton despiritly needs to make a move to get to the cut line. He pars one, but a birdie at two gives him hope. However, pars at 3 thru 6 followed by a bogey at 7 really hamper his chances as holes are running out. A 16 foot putt is made at 8, but unfortunately it's only to save par. Number 9 is also parred and the front nine is played even. (+4)

Kyle Kappe III - (+1)
Par, Par, then a big breaking 11 footer was sunk for bird at 3. Another bird at 4 is followed by 2 solid pars. Kappe tries to reach the par 5 6th hole in 2, but doesn't, however he does get up and down for birdie. Then he sinks a slick 10 foot downhill putt at 8 and is making a charge at the cut line. Front 9 - 32.
(-3)

Alan Kelmay - (+1)
Kelmay's hopes of making the cut are pretty much dashed early, as he finds the greenside bunkers both times and doesn't get up and down on either hole. He does give himself a shot by getting bird on 5 after a huge drive gives him only a 5 iron into the green. He gets up and down from a bunker on 6 then sinks a long putt for bird at 7 puts him back to even for the day. A 3 putt bogey at 8 and a par at 9 and Kelmay is one stroke higher at the end of the first 9 then he was when he started the day.(+2)

Rob Nielsen - (+1)
Last week in a very similar possition, Nielsen made a very admirable charge at the cut line coming up just short. This time he starts with 2 bogeys. A terribly short drive at number 1 leads to the first bogey and the bunker at 2 leads to the second. Rob's focus and toughness comes thorugh on the par 5s as he birdies both with great drives. A bunker at 7 leads to bogey and another bunker at 8 leads to double bogey. Front 9 score 39 (+4)
