Round 2 : Front 9 - Probable Cut Makers

Colton Mayes - (-10)
Mayes, who was almost unconcious the first day, started the second day with a bogey just to prove he was human. However, a perfectly possitioned drive on number 4 set him up to go for the green in two. His second shot, hit the green and rolled to the back fringe. He elected to putt the ball, but his putt came up short and he settled for a par. He finishes the frontside even par.
(-10)

Jimmy Fuijita - (-9)
Like Mayes he bogeys the opening hole, but unlike Mayes he also bogeys the second hole. An unbelievable drive at 4 leaves him just a 4 iron to the green. He hits it beautifully then sinks the 16 foot eagle putt to get back to even par. He can't however stay under-par on the front, as he bogeys nine to close out with a 37. (-8)

Rolin Bywater - (-8)
Doesn't bogey 1 like Mayes and Fuijita - he doubles it. The drive goes through the fairway and e even though he isn't in the bunker he has no shot at the green. He lays up about 50 yards short. He attempts a lob shot with his 3rd shot, but it lands about a foot short of his target, hits the lip of the bunker and rolls back in. He blasts out of the bunker and 2 putts. A bunker on 5 proves costly to Bywater as he adds another bogey to his score. The frontside is finished 3 over par 39 - possibly putting Bywater in with the guys on the bubble. (-5)

Kyle Smith - (-5)
Smith distroys his ball off the tee. It rolls through the fairway and into some thick brush and bushes. Though the spotters saw where the ball went in - they couldn't locate it. Because the ball was lost, Smith was forced to go back to the tee and start over. He eventually closed out the hole with a double bogey 6. Birdies on both the frontside par 5 get him back to even par, but a bogey at the par 3 7th and another on the 9 complete Smith's rollercoaster front 9 with a 38 and definately put him in danger of not making the cut. (-3)

TE Almighty - (-5)
Gets through the first hole unscathed. A great iron on 3 gives him a shot at bird, but he missed the 8 footer. On the 4th hole he distroys his drive - hits his 4 iron to within 8 feet and sinks his eagle putt. He attempts to reach the par 5 6th in two, but comes up just shot, however a decent chip and awesome putt gives him bird. Number 7 is also birdied when Almighty sinks a 23 footer. A stroke is thrown back at 9. The frontside is closed at 3 under.
(-8)

Duncan Baxter - (-4)
Solid play gives Baxter long birdie putts at the first two holes, but neither is made. A 20 foot putt is made on at 3 for a birdie. A birdie at 6 is set up by a perfectly placed drive, and the 5 iron off the tee at 7 hits 18 feet long, but backs up to within 7 feet and the putt is made. 8 & 9 are also birdied and the conservative Baxter appears to be red hot heading into the back 9 - Frontside 32. (-8)

Its Craptacular - (-4)
Craptacular's mind was obviously on the beach early as he found bunkers on number 1 and 2, both leading to bogey. A great putt at 5 saves par, but another bogey sneaks in at 9 and he finished only 1 stroke below 40 on the front and is now in danger of not making the cut.
(-1)

AJ Tucker - (-4)
Tucker plays par until hole 9. His drive at nine isn't particularly good, and he's left with about 200 yards into the green from the first cut. The 5 iron from the fringe was hit in the screws and the ball stops 9 feet from the hole. The putt is sunk and Tucker has a 35 on the front. (-5)
