We head back out onto the field to start the 2nd quarter with our "seal here, and a seal here" play, and Brewster takes the ball upfield for 15; thanks in part to a great block by our C Peters, who folded and blocked out the OLB.

1st and 10 at the UT43 and we run the play action pass off the seal play. It works, and Witt rumbles upfield for 11.

First down at the Syracuse 46 and Brewster gets the ball off LG for 4. We follow that with an option to the right side for 9 and we move the chains again.

We test the right side with an option again and we get 5, this time with the freshman HB Mason. 2nd and 5 on the Syracuse 28, and we call a screen to Prescott. It works well, and Prescott is dropped just past the marker for a gain of 6.

First down at the 22 and we give to Brewster again, this time off right guard. We get a solid 5, and Peters simply runs over a defensive lineman to create the hole.

We follow with a play action pass to Witt that is knocked away by a defender, and a botched screen to Prescott thanks to pressure by a DE.

Alston comes back out and kicks a 34 yard field goal, giving UT a 6-0 lead with 10:36 left in the 2nd quarter.
