Dublin is cool and if you like outdoor stuff, definitely check out Howth. They have trains running all day to the island. You can walk along the cliffs, see some amazing sights (tons of birds), and then grab some fish and chips after. Definitely one of the coolest experiences I've ever had and very cheap.
My only warning on Dublin is there are scams out there targeting tourists. So just be wary of your surroundings and try not to look too much like a tourist. But that goes for almost any city.
